Senior SAP ABAP Developer

As a Senior SAP ABAP Developer, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering innovative, scalable solutions within our global SAP S/4HANA landscape. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform compañía needs into high-quality technical solutions, ensuring performance, maintainability, and alignment with our enterprise architecture.
Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Coordination: Lead and coordinate technical activities between internal teams and external vendors, ensuring alignment on integration requirements and deliverables.
  • System Architecture: Collaborate with solution architects to define integration architecture and design, ensuring system compatibility and scalability.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with SAP Workstream Leaders to deliver custom functionalities across SAP environments.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve integration-related issues during implementation and post-go-live phases.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation (RICEFWs) to support audits and future development.

  • Navigating time zone and cultural differences in a global, multicultural environment.
  • Supporting change management while ensuring compañía continuity.
  • Evaluating functional limitations and aligning with overall solution architecture.
  • Validating effort estimates with a critical and analytical mindset.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in SAP S/4HANA development.
  • Strong hands-on experience with the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP), including frontend (Fiori Elements/SAPUI5) and backend development.
  • Proficiency in OData services and API integration.
  • Solid understanding of scalable, resilient system design and performance optimization.
  • Strong background in Object-Oriented ABAP development.
Preferred Skills
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the SAP BTP environment.
  • Basic understanding of Clean Core principles.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in diverse, multicultural teams.
  • High adaptability to shifting priorities and dynamic environments.
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation and investigation skills.
