OM DATA MIGRATION LEAD
Hays Services is collaborating with a global innovator and supplier of low-carbon and alternative-fuelled powertrains.
We are looking for a OM Data Migration Lead who will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the software testing lifecycle. You will lead a team of testers, develop testing strategies and ensure that all software products meet the highest quality standards.
Which are the functions?
- Develop comprehensive data migration plans, including timelines, resources and risk management strategies.
- Define the scope and objectives of the data migration project in alignment with business goals.
- Identify potential challenges and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
- Oversee the extraction, transformation and loading processes to ensure accurate and efficient data migration.
- Coordinate with IT and business teams to validate data and ensure its integrity before and after migration.
- Monitor the progress of the data migration project and adjust plans as necessary to meet deadlines and quality standards.
- Implement data validation and verification procedures to ensure the completeness and accuracy of migrated data.
- Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve data migration issues.
- Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies throughout the migration process.
- Maintain detailed documentation of the data migration process, including methodologies, procedures and outcomes.
- Provide regular status updates and reports to stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks and issues.
- Prepare post-migration reports and conduct reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
- Lead and mentor a team of data migration specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure project success.
- Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, encouraging knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate training and development initiatives to enhance the skills and capabilities of the data migration team.
Which are the requirenments?
- English is the program language (oral & written), Spanish is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of data migration tools and technologies (e.g., ETL tools, SQL, data mapping software).
- Experience with various database management systems.
- Understanding of data governance, data quality and data security principles.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale data migration projects.
- Strong project management skills, including planning, execution and risk management.
- Excellent analytical skills to understand complex data structures and relationships.
- Ability to identify and resolve data-related issues effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
