Important industrial company located in Asturias needs to incorporate a profile of Teamlead AP Accountants
Europe Role (i.e. what will they do, who are their peers):
- Leading the AP Team Europe (International Team) – coaching and motivating the team, assessing individual needs and motivators, address employee’s development needs
- Focuses the team on the critical priorities – aligns the team and individual goals with the organization’s strategy, drive the team to accomplish goals
- Make difficult decisions, solve complex problems, and partner with others to solve problems
- 30% of the time should be used to support the team with the day-to-day activities (posting invoices, master data, monitoring GR-IR account…)
- The AP Team Europe is focusing on following topics:
- Posting vendor invoices for different company codes in different ERP systems
- Monitoring vendor master data for different company codes in different ERP systems
- Executing weekly payment runs for different company codes in different ERP systems
- Monitoring GR-IR accounts for different company codes in different ERP systems
- Monitoring vendor reminders for different company codes
- Processing recurring entries for different company codes
- Monthly Interco reconciliation, Z4 Reports (Germany) and other month-end activities for different company codes
- Balance confirmation requests to vendors on a quarterly basis for different company codes
Responsibilities (e.g. revenues, budget, # & type of staff, etc.):
- Responsibility for the AP Team Europe
- Timely posting of vendor invoices
- Timely payment of vendor invoices (including cash discount)
- Monthly reconciliation / settlement of vendor accounts / GR-IR accounts
- Compliance with accounting principles (local Gaap and US Gaap
Skills Required:
- Commercial or bank education (IHK certified or comparable) or Bachelor in Business administration General knowledge in statutory accounting standards
- Good knowledge in VAT topics
- SAP experience FI, SD
- Experience in leading a Team + Ability to accomplish goals defined
- Business English fluent is a must as well as one of following other languages: German, or Spanish Willing to travel
