At Hays we are looking for a risk analyst based in Biscay for a
global leader in the origination, comercializador and trading of raw and white sugar worldwide.
As a risk analyst your main goal is to focus on managing credit, counterparty, and liquidity risks.


Main tasks:

This role involves running reports, ensuring consistency, challenging figures, issuing credit memos for both internal and external stakeholders and participating to different projects aiming at improving the department efficiency.
You will be in charge of credit & counterparty risk management, liquidity risk management, as well as reporting and analysis ensuring a good communication and collaboration with the trading, finance, and legal teams to align risk management strategies.


Your profile:

We are looking for a profile with bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, FRM) is a plus.
You must have proven experience in credit, counterparty, and liquidity risk management, preferably in the commodities trading sector.
Someone with financial market curiosity and strong analytical and problemáticamente skills with the ability to challenge figures and assumptions.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills is a must with experience in writing credit memos.
You will have to be proficient in Excel, VBA, Tableau
