Head of Data

Looking for a Head of Data & Operations for a multinational company based in BCN.
You will lead and manage the company's research, production and development teams, comprising about 30 professionals. You will reports directly to the CEO.

Responsibilities

Coordinate operational teams
  • Lead and manage the company’s three operational teams
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure operations are aligned with overall goals and objectives
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of operations
  • Set and achieve operational goals and objectives and ensure they are aligned with the company’s overall goals
  • Manage resources, including budget and personnel, to ensure the teams have the necessary resources to meet their objectives
  • Oversee the development and implementation of processes and procedures to ensure quality and consistency in the organization's operations
  • Manage and mentor team leads to fulfill their roles, encourage their professional development and growth
  • Communicate operational progress and results to senior management and other stakeholders

Guide projects
  • Together with relevant stakeholders, develop the organization's data strategy, including data collection, management, analysis and reporting
  • Manage the planning, implementation and tracking of multiple data-related and other company projects
  • Together with stakeholders, develop and maintain project plans and schedules
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, data engineers, and business stakeholders to identify project requirements and objectives
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality
  • Communicate project statuses and risks to stakeholders and manage expectations effectively
  • Ensure project documentation is complete, up to date, and accessible to all stakeholders
  • Identify and manage project risks and issues, implementing contingency plans as necessary
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure data is used effectively to support the organization's goals


Qualifications

  • Background in both economics and data
  • Academic background in a quantitative field (Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or other comparable quantitative disciplines)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience leading and managing operations
  • Strong understanding of operations management and process improvement, including methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall
  • Knowledge of data science methodologies, data management and analytical tools
  • Ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Nice to have:
- Degree in Business Administration or Operations Management
- Relevant certifications, such as PMP, Six Sigma and Lean
- Experience with change management and transformation
